Past Assessments:


Year 7 Formative (Detective Fiction): An old proffessor and part time detective is travelling from Dover to Marseilles. There is a murder on the steam ship and Proffessor R. Jones must solve the mystery.

Year 8 Practice (Speculative Fiction): A young female protagonist explores an ancient cave with weird symbols on teh walls on a distant desert planet. She has an uneasy feeling as she descends the cavern. Suddenly her support rope snaps and she falls into darkness. Then ends on a cliffhanger as she sees somwthing weird in the shadows.

Year 8 Formative 1 (Speculative Fiction): A corrupt but legal company owns almost all of Sydney's water and is using it for silly reasons. Meanwhile, the residents of the city have to ration water. A young protagonist must secretly enter the command centre of the organisation's building and terminate the command to fuel a hydro powered spaceship with all of Earth's remaining water resources.

Year 8 Assessment (Speculative Fiction): A human protagonist called Joshua Jones is working with his team on an abandoned planet to find all remaining sentient life forms in the universe after a desctructive powerful species wipes out nearly all life in the universe.

Year 9 Practice story: Joshua Jones works for CIA. Then he gets sent to Vienna to fight a threat to the United States (Russian called "Varawski"). Things are quite mysterious and Vienna doesn't realise that Varawski is bad, so he has authorities on him as well. Story starts with after the fight, then has a scene during the fight, then goes to minutes before the fight, and finally ends with a CIA meeting a month before the operation.

Year 9 Formative (Yellowmundi - Community): A hacker called "Null" enters an old forum page that is seemingly blank after a friend has strenge feelings about it and texts him. He explores it and eventually gets messages from "The Patchwork" that are really creepy. They seem encrypted in a weird way at first, but gradually he gets accustomed to it. The strange glyphs start appearing in his normal life, and he can't escape this "ever evolving" patchwork community. Eventually he realises that he has become part of the patchwork

Year 9 Assessment (Yellowmundi - Community): Set in 1940 Nazi Germany. A father (Daniel) and daughter (Alice) are Jewish and are harboured by a French friend called "Jean" who they haven't been in contact with for years. They escape one early morning at dawn with forged papers. They kill 2 guards, steal the uniform and go to a train station at 6am, where they escape to neutral Switzerland.
